Birthday: July 19

Kamijo became quite popular in the late 90's as the vocalist for the band Lareine. In 1999 Lareine's first album with Sony Music Entertainment, 「フィエルテの海と共に消ゆ」 Fierte no umi to tomo ni kiyu, was released and quickly became the band's most successful album yet.

In 2006, he assumed position of executive producer of the label Sherow Artist Society after ending independent music activity with previous bands Lareine and New Sodmy, and has produced many artists, such as Manterou Opera, since then.

Around Christmas of the same year, Kamijo produced the theatrical rock show, Node Of Sherzo, with the help of Hizaki and Jasmine You, along with solo artists Kaya and Juka. At their first event held in March of 2007, he then announced that he would be forming a band with Hizaki; Versailles.

Hizaki began his music career in his home town, playing for small local bands for leisure.

In April of 1999, Hizaki formed Crack Brain and some months later they were signed under the indies record label, Crow Music. The band then moved to Tokyo, and eventually disbanded in 2002. In early 2003, Hizaki formed Schwardix Marvally, and it was in these years that Hizaki began playing Neoclassical music, and developed his trademark sound. However, Schwardix Marvally soon disbanded in 2004. In 2005, Hizaki was invited to join Sulfuric Acid, where he quickly became an important member composing most of the songs and heavily influencing the music style of the band.

In 2006, after the disbandment of Sulfuric Acid, Hizaki began a new solo project called Hizaki Grace Project with the help of Hikaru from the band Izabel Varosa on vocals, and Yuu (later known as Jasmine You) on bass. Eventually, Mikage (ex- Babylon) joined the lineup on drums, Juka on vocals, Teru on guitar, and Yuu (or Jasmine You) on bass. Their debut album being produced by Kamijo under Sequence Records.

In the meantime, Hizaki collaborated with Kamijo as he played as a support member at his solo concerts and also Lareine's last live. He also took part in Node of Sherzo, which after their debut in March of 2007, it was announced that he would be forming a new band with Kamijo. Eventually the band name was revealed, and Versailles was born.

Teru is the youngest member of Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet- and was also the last one to join. Although he was supposed to be an official member since the beginning, he didn't consider himself such because of obligations with his previous band Aikaryu, and didn't officially join until July 2007.

Like Jasmine You, Teru has previously worked with Hizaki as a member of Hizaki Grace Project. Also, since early 2007, he has been a designer at Sherow Artist Society creating artworks for Manterou Opera, Hizaki Grace Project, and Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet-.

Jasmine You entered the Visual Kei scene after joining 雀羅-jyakura-, an indies band based in Nagoya that became quite successful. After they disbanded in 2003, You decided not to join another full-time band, and only played in some session bands. In 2006,  he moved to Tokyo and was invited by his long time friend, Hizaki, to join his solo project. In the meantime, he also took part of the rock show, Node of Sherzo, with Juka, Kaya, Hizaki, and Kamijo.

In Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet's- indies days, Jasmine was in charge of the business side of the band as he had a lot of contacts with other musicians, shops, and companies.

On August 2nd, 2009, it was announced that Jasmine would take a break from the music scene due to his poor physical condition. In the early hours of August 10th, it was announced on the band's official website that Jasmine had passed the previous day, shocking many fans. Although the exact cause of his death is unknown, according to his family and friends, his condition had deteriorated to the point that he could not move and was under medical care at his home. However, a few days before his passing, his band mates brought him to see the night sky of Yokohama, as it was one of his last wishes. It was reported that he passed away peacefully, and looking beautiful as always.

A funeral procession was held for Jasmine in Tokyo with all of his friends and band mates. Afterwards, his family brought him back to his hometown to be cremated with his belongings. Jasmine's family posted a memorial message on his former blog, a translation of which can be found here.
