The Shorty Awards are given to those who have used social media in amazing ways, and who better has done that than the members of Versailles? We have all witnessed how Versailles has used Myspace (way back when), Twitter, and Facebook, to create an intimate connection with fans like no other band has before. Through their use of social media to get closer to fans and communicate with street teams, such as this one, Versailles was able to tour the world successfully twice in just the first 5 years of their career. Even going as far as writing down history as being the first Japanese band ever to have a concert in some countries.
The finalists (the top 6 most nominated candidates) from the Featured Categories will be presented to the Real-Time Academy, who will choose which finalists win the Shorty Award for each of these categories. On April 8th, the grand winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in New York City. We know, it sounds overwhelming, but if we manage to even get Versailles in the top six of their category they will get recognition.
There is an unlimited amount of nominations you can make so don't be shy. We are really counting on Descendants worldwide to help us, so please spread the word to everyone you know!
